Rufus and Delilah Dog Walking is featuring Dove as the Los Angeles dog adoption of the week. Dove is a darling one year old Dachshund, Manchester Terrier, Min Pin, Beagle mix with a great temperament. She has the soft ears of a Doxie and long beautiful legs which make her a super model. She is very sweet and she gets along well other dogs.
Dove’s a girl on the go. She is intelligent and eager to learn. She loves toys. She is playful, athletic and can be hilarious. Dove is longing for a home and to know where she belongs. She can be a tad shy when she first meets you but after a few moments she’s ready to jump on your lap to say hello and be a love dovey.
Dove came into an Orange County Animal Shelter as a stray. The shelter brought Dove to The Race For The Rescues fundraising event hosted by The Rescue Train. The Rescue Train is a non-profit no kill organization dedicated to eliminating animal suffering and euthanasia through hands on rescue work, dedication to spay/neuter, education and awareness. Although she wasn’t adopted at the fundraising event, Dove got a ticket on The Rescue Train so she wouldn’t have to go back to a shelter. She is currently in a foster home while awaiting her FuRRRRever home.
Her foster thinks Dove would be a great companion for an active owner. Dove would love to be a friend for an existing dog. At this young age, she would not do well being alone for long periods of time. She would be a fun dog to take for obedience or agility training. She would enjoy that stimulation.
