Los Angeles Dog Adoption Of The Week – Meet Buster

Rufus and DelilahLos Angeles Dog Adoption Buster is featuring Buster as the Los Angeles Dog Adoption of the week.  If you or anyone you know is looking to rescue a dog, we hope your search will end with Buster.  Buster is a Beagle about 12 years old whose human got too old to take care of him.  He is an active senior who loves his walks and he loves being with people.  Buster is great with other dogs, cats, and children.  He is up to date on all his shots and he takes a daily pill for a heart murmur.  All he wants is a loving and dedicated FuRRRRever home to call his own.

Please don’t let Buster’s heart murmur or age stop you from giving this sweet loving little guy a home to spend the rest of his life.   Heart murmurs are common in dogs. Even my own French Bulldog who will be 8 in October has a slight heart murmur.  If you don’t have experience with heart murmurs in dogs, read Dr. Nancy Kay’s article on Heart Murmurs in Dogs: What Do They Mean.  Then if you need convincing on why senior dogs make great pets, read 5 reasons to adopt a senior dog in an article we wrote last November, Give Senior Dogs A Reason To Be Thankful This Thanksgiving.

Thanks to The Brittany Foundation, dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of homeless dogs, Buster isn’t in a shelter.  He is currently lovingly being cared for at their sanctuary.

If you haven’t been a pet parent to a Beagle before, to learn more about this fun breed read, You Know Your Dog Is A Beagle If… The Beagle Nose!, by Life With Beagle.

Los Angeles Dog Adoption BusterDo you have a spot in your home and heart for Buster?  Or do you have an older parent who could use the love and companionship from Buster?   Even if you are not looking to adopt or if Buster isn’t the right dog for you, you can still help Buster find his FuRRRRever home by sharing this article.

For more information on Buster, email The Brittany Foundation at brittany_dogs@yahoo.com or go to his Petfinder page at https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/32251397/.

Will you do your part in helping Buster find his FuRRRRever home by sharing his story?

We have an almost 12 year old beagle recently diagnosed with a heart murmur. She is not on medication (yet) and she is still just as active as ever and you would not even know anything is wrong with her. Beagles are a wonderful, loving breed….once you have one you always want another (Cricket is our 2nd)!
We will share Buster and hope he finds a happy home soon….what a handsome guy!

  • I am a big of Beagles too. How coincidental that your 12 year old Beagle was recently diagnosed with a heart murmur and Buster who is about 12 years old also has a heart murmur. My French Bulldog, who will be 8 in October, was also recently diagnosed with a heart murmur. Clearly this a common diagnosis in older dogs. Like your Beagle, Florence isn’t on any medication yet and we would never know she has this other than her veterinarian heard it at a recent appointment. Thank you for sharing Buster’s story to help him find a FuRRRRever home.

The first dog my family had was a sweet Beagle named Suzy. I shared Buster and will hope someone gives him a forever home asap!

  • How cool that your first family dog was a beagle named, Suzy. Beagles are great dogs! Thank you for sharing Buster in an effort to help him find a FuRRRRever home.
