Los Angeles Dog Adoption Of The Week – Meet Nina

Los Angeles Dog Adoption - NinaRufus and Delilah is featuring Nina (A1540142) as the Los Angeles Dog Adoption of the week.  If you are anyone you know is looking to adopt a dog in the Los Angeles area, Nina may be for you.  Even if you live outside the Los Angeles area, Nina would be happy to travel home with you.

Nina always has a smile on her face.  Her sweetness and playfulness will have you smiling too. While Nina is waiting for her FuRRRRever home, she is currently residing at the East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys.

Nina is is curious, attentive, treat-motivated, and already knows a few tricks.  She is around 4 years old and weighs 54 lbs.  Her friend Sherry, at the shelter, thinks Nina is getting overlooked because she may not show well in her kennel but out of her kennel, she is delightful.  Sherry thinks Nina is the perfect example of a dog who didn’t receive enough of the ‘right’ guidance from her humans or other dogs, but she is eager to please.  In a stable home with regular exercise, training, and socialization Nina will be the best thing to ever happen to the lucky adopter.  If you are an active person/family who loves walking, hiking, or jogging as well as appreciates quiet time indoors watching TV, reading, or snuggling with a loving dog nearby, then you should adopt the adorable Nina.

To see Nina in person, the East Valley Animal Shelter is located at 14409 Vanowen Street, Van Nuys, 91405. The phone number is 888-4LAPET1 or 888-452-7381.  Ask for Nina by name or by her shelter number A1450142.  The East Valley Animal Shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, and they are closed on Mondays and Holidays.

  • Thank you for sharing beautiful Nina, and for including my blog articles with her story. I have worked with a lot of different dog breeds in my life, and I honestly have never found one so eager to please as Pit Bull-type dogs are. They truly do love people, and I believe that almost any dog can become a wonderful family companion if given the love, patience, and training. All the best to Nina – I hope her forever family finds her soon!

  • Thank you for letting us share your articles on pit bulls in our article on Nina. As a former pet parent to a rescued pit bull, I know first hand how amazing pit bulls are as dogs and how so many people have a misconception of this breed largely due to the media. They are the sweetest dogs with proper training and love just like any other breed can be with proper training and love.
