Currently, we are not offering pet sitting visits when clients travel. However, we are still offering our locally award-winning weekly dog walking and as needed dog walking services when you are home at the end of the day.
All Visits are Custom Tailored to Meet Your Needs
Do you worry about who will care for your pets when you travel? Could you use a reliable and loving pet sitter who will care for your fur-kid as though he or she is their own? We would love to solve your need for a pet sitter when you are away.
Pet sitting visits are offered in your home allowing your dogs and cats to remain in the environment they know and love while you are away. Your independent pet sitter’s time and attention will be focused on caring for your pet and your home.
Highest Quality of Care for Your Fur-kid
We are 100% committed to providing all our clients pets with the highest quality of care. The pet sitters will give your pets the same love and attention they give to their own pets.
Cat Sitting
For cat sitting visits, we require a minimum of one daily visit when you are away. Aside from feeding your cats and cleaning the litter box daily, if your cats are friendly, your cat sitter will spend the majority of their time petting your cats. If they like to play with toys, then your cats will also have plenty of play time with your sitter.
Dog Sitting
For dog sitting visits, we require a minimum of three daily visits on the days you are away a full 24 hours or you can book an overnight with a midday visit. Your dog sitter can take your dogs for a walk at each visit to help provide mental and physical stimulation. If your dogs like to play with toys or like a good pet sitting session, your sitter will also set aside time for playing and/or petting.
Visits & Overnights
We offer visits in 30, 45, and 60-minute increments. We also offer extended visits of 2 hours or more. Overnights are offered from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. or from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Daily Updates
To provide extra peace of mind, we can email you a daily update with a picture or your pet sitter can call you directly from your home phone to share details on your pets. Also, your independent pet sitter always leave a hand written note at the last visit for your return.

Check out some of our most frequently asked questions about our pet sitting visits visits.
Will I get to meet my sitter before the pet sitting visits start?
Yes. We always set up a one-time complimentary consultation to introduce you to your pet sitter and to review your detailed client profile before the visits start.
Will I get the same sitter each time I am away?
We prefer to keep the continuity of the same sitter with the same pets and we will do everything possible to make that happen for additional pet sitting requests. If your initial sitter is not available, with your permission, we will match you with an alternate sitter. Should an alternate sitter be providing you with pet sitting services, we would be happy to set up a paid 30 minute practice visit for you to meet the alternate and to review your client profile with them.
What are the different lengths of pet sitting visits you offer?
We offer pet sitting visits in 30, 45, and 60 minute visits. We also offer extended pet sitting visits of 2 hours or more.
When caring for clients with dogs when their family is away, we require a minimum of 3 pet sitting visits a day for their safety and comfort. When caring for clients cats when their family is away, we require a minimum of once daily visits.
What is your cancellation policy for overnight stays and vacation dog and cat pet sitting services?
For our Pet Sitting reservations, cancellations made with more than 7 days notice from the start date for all the dates will be issued a credit to be applied to future pet sitting visits. Cancellations made with 7 days notice from the start date for any of the dates will receive 50% credit for all the dates to be applied to future pet sitting visits. Cancelations made with 3 days notice or less from the start date for any of the dates will not receive any credit for any of the dates canceled. We do not issue refunds.
Can you administer medication to my pets while I am away?
Yes. As long as you let us know of your pets individual needs when you first contact us, we will match you with an independent sitter who is able to administer medication. Some medication administration including IV’s and fluids will be offered at an additional cost if we have a sitter available.
When do I give a key to my pet sitter?
We require two sets of working keys from every client. Keys are to be given to us at the time of the consultation. One set of keys is for the pet sitter for the visits and the other set is to be held in the office for emergencies, lockouts, or in case your keys should stop working or break in the lock. If you do not have two sets of keys ready at the consultation, you may either mail them or we can set a time to come back during office hours to pick them up for a $20 fee. We do not have a location for any in-person pick-ups or drop-offs.
“We have been using the services of Rufus and Delilah for close to three years – we use them frequently. Their offering is invaluable, consistently providing professional and compassionate cat–sitting services. Our fourteen-year-old cat is the happiest, most content he has ever been. They give us peace of mind when we are not home. We couldn’t do what we do without them. Rufus and Delilah is an exceptional resource!

“…As always, the sitters did a wonderful job caring for my fur baby. I cannot tell you how much my mind is at ease knowing that you’re looking after Zoey – I can really enjoy my vacations knowing she’s in good hands! Lygeia did a great job! Zoey was well cared for and so was my home. Thanks so much for all you do! I’ll be in touch the next time I head out of town.
– Shannon T.
“Everything was just perfect upon my return and Batman, Jack and Deacon were very happy to see me. Honestly, if there was something I thought you needed to improve I would let you know, but I am completely satisfied with everything that you and April did for me this past week. Thanks,
– Cary F.
Our Promise
Our goal is to provide personal, one on one time spent by the pet sitters with your fur-kid(s). They walk your dog(s) in your own neighborhood, and a handwritten note is left at the end of each visit with a description of their time together.
Providing your pets with the highest quality of care is our utmost concern. We strive to give them the same love and attention that we give to our own fur-kids.
